Just Visiting is a 2001 comedy about a knight and his valet that get stuck in the modern day world. They are not thrilled to be here and just want to go home. Enter the beautiful damsel in distress, played by Christina Applegate, and you have a movie that is action-packed and funny. The movie starts with a backstory and takes place in 12th century England. Lord Thibault is all set to marry the Princess Rosalind until someone slips him a drug that makes him kill his own bride because he thinks she is a monster about to attack the banquet hall. Lord Thibault, of course, is sentenced to death but convinces a wizard to send him back in time to right his wrong. The only problem is that the wizard is incompetent, and Lord Thibault and his valet end up landing in a museum in the 21st century. They are arrested by the police, and the fun begins from there. Lord Thibault and his valet are really out of place in today’s modern world, with their clothes and manner of speaking. Julia Malfete, who looks an awful lot like the deceased Princess Rosalind, saves the pair and tries to help them adjust to the modern world. Of course, there is an evil witch behind the entire diabolical plan, and she is not about to let Lord Thibault foil her sinister plans. Both men fall in love with women from the modern world but know that they must get back to the 12th century to stop the witch that plagued them there. In the meantime, Lord Thibault decides that he must save Julia from her evil fiancé, Hunter, who is actually a money-hungry cad. During the course of helping Julia, Lord Thibault falls in love with her and gets to know his future family and the ways of the new world as well.
