Killers is the 2003 theatrical compilation of a set of five films filmed by five different Japanese directors. This collection or collective is usually known as the Omnibus Action Movie. Some people may confuse this title to a similarly named comedic movie by Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl named Killers in 2010. The first movie in this collective or set of five is called Pay Off, which is directed by Kazuhiro Kiuchi. The second movie is simply called Candy, which is directed by Shundo Ohkawa. Followed by the third film named Perfect Partner, by the director Shuji Kawata. Killer Idol, which is the next film in the series is directed by Shuji Kawata. Finally, the last film of the entire set is called .50 woman which is directed by Mamoru Oshii. This collective is starred by five up and comming actors. They are: Nobuyasu Sakai, Keishi Hunt, Chihiro Inoue, Maya Hoshino and Mizutama-Lepputai. The entire set of films is roughly 115 minutes or just short of two hours. It's normally shown in Japanese but you can find it with english/spanish/french subtitles. On rare occasion they have the english/spanish dub. Each of the five films are thrillers which star each of the actor's listed above. The screenplay was written by the five directors which bring their own style and means of storytelling. Since each film is independently made and produced, this gives a totally different feel to each. You get five films in the the time frame of your average film. The current norm of filmmaking has placed durations anywhere from an hour and thirty to two hours. Again the distinct styles provide a fresh new view point or angle as each movie begins and ends. This movie in it's entirety is on DVD along with audio commentary various extra's depending on the set. This was also for a time sold on VHS.
