Watch King Kong

"King Kong" (1933) is the classic American monster movie about a giant gorilla. It is known for its stop-motion animation which was considered a cutting-edge technique at the time. The film is said to have greatly influenced Ray Harryhausen. In the movie, a group of adventurers journey to a prehistoric island inhabited by dinosaurs and a giant ape. The adventurers capture Kong and bring him back to New York City, where he goes on a rampage.
