Kites is a 2010 action/romance film that was produced by Bollywood. The movie stars a dance teacher named Jai who resides in Las Vegas and is involved in marrying immigrant women to get them green cards. After discovering that a rich woman named Gina is attracted to him, he decides to marry her for her money. Gina’s wealth comes from her father, who is a casino owner. Before the supposed wedding between Gina and Jai can take place, however, he falls in love with Linda, the fiancée of Gina’s brother. Gina’s brother, Tony, is a jealous man who will soon become a problem for Jai.
On the night before Linda and Tony’s wedding is to occur, Linda and Jai meet up for a romantic affair in her apartment. Out of nowhere, Tony shows up with a gun and attacks Linda and Jai. They both fight off Tony and depart for Mexico, where they find a friend of Jai’s named Robin. Robin provides the scared lovers with fake passports and IDs.
Jai and Linda marry in Mexico the next week. When they arrive home after their wedding, they are horrified to find that Tony, along with some men in his defense, have appeared at the house and killed Robin. Jai and Linda run as quickly as they can from the house, but Jai still ends up getting shot. An aggressive car chase then ensues, where Linda has to make the tough decision of separating from Jai for both of their safety.
From there, Jai locates Tony, Gina, and Tony’s followers. He kills all the men and severely injures Tony, who Gina then kills. Tony leaves the scene to find Linda and discovers she has driven off a cliff after becoming completely cornered. The movie finishes with Jai jumping off the same cliff out of his love for Linda.
