Last Chance Harvey stars Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson as two people who have had their share of unsuccessful relationships. Hoffman plays Harvey Shine, a divorced composer who writes music for television commercials. Upon traveling to London to attend his daughter's wedding, he encounters Kate Walker, an airport employee. Although their first encounter is brief and Shine is rude towards her at first, a romantic relationship develops between them after Shine is fired from his job and treated like an outcast at his daughter's wedding. After they meet up several times, Shine invites Walker to his daughter's wedding reception, although he is reluctant to go. Will Shine redeem himself in the eyes of his daughter? Will he abandon Walker like she was abandoned on a blind date?
