

Since becoming unemployed, Larry looks for ways to cut costs. While filling the gas tank of his SUV, he notices a group of college kids paying a lot less for gas when they use mopeds for transportation. His neighbor who sells used items offers him a deal on a moped, and Larry joins a group of college kids that are a part of a moped gang.
Talia, a fellow student and member of the moped group, takes Larry under her wing. Being fashion conscious and into all the latest styles, Talia works on Larry's image to give him a more modern look.
While going to college, he enrolls in a speech class taught by Mercedes, played by Julia Roberts. Thinking that he is dating a younger girl teacher, Mercedes becomes jealous. Larry notices that Mercedes is stranded after a fight with her husband and offers to take her home on his moped. Intoxicated, she makes a pass at Larry, and when he turns her down, she becomes angry.
After Mercedes separates from and divorces her husband, her affection for Larry grows. Once he completes her class, Larry offers to cook her breakfast at his place. Mercedes turns up at Larry's new apartment and meets Talia. Here she learns that Talia and Larry are just friends. Larry and Mercedes start their romantic relationship over a breakfast of French toast.

The producing team behind "The Social Network" does, and they're working on bring an adaptation of Captain Richard Phillips' memoir A Captain's Duty: Somali Pirates, Navy SEALs, and Dangerous Days at Sea to theaters.
Tom Hanks has been tapped to play Captain Phillips in the movie, which will detail the events from the capture of the ship all the way up to the rescue of the crew.
