Something to Talk About is a comedy-drama about a family in a small gossipy southern town. It is the tale of a woman named Grace (Julia Roberts) who is stunned to find out that her husband Eddie (Dennis Quaid) has been cheating on her. Although her life has been dull and marriage not as exciting as it once was, Grace finds herself dazed and confused from his betrayal. Her family owns a prestigious horse farm where she works. Family weighs in with lots of advice on handling her situation. To her surprise her own parents (Robert Duvall and Gena Rowlands) side with Eddie, in order to keep the small-town gossip at bay and get her back with Eddie. She stays with her quirky sister (Kyra Sedgwick) who gives Grace a lot of smart-mouth no non-sense advice, which provides a lot of hilarious moments. Grace finds her own way to handle the situation and shakes things up in her town. Through the course of trying to figure out what to do, Grace begins to find her voice and to rebel against the southern standards of her community.
