Life Show is a 2002 Chinese drama that follows the lonely, isolated life of a restaurant owner while dealing with her family and business interests. Her life takes a drastic turn when one of her customers is romantically interested in her. Lai's life is filled with adverse issues. For instance, her sister-in-law, Xiaojin, always leaves her son for Lai to care for. Her brother Jiujiu has been committed to a mental hospital, while her personal assistant Mei, who is in love with Jiujiu, has attempted suicide. In the midst of all, Lai is in danger of losing her restaurant. Lai starts a romance despite concerns from friends and family.
