Lingering is a 2020 Korean horror movie that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. The film is directed by Yoon Jae-Keun and stars Se-yeong Lee, Park Ji-young, and So-yi Park in lead roles. The story of Lingering revolves around two sisters, Yoo-mi (played by Se-yeong Lee) and Yoo-jin (played by So-yi Park) who had a difficult childhood. Yoo-mi has been raising her younger sister, Yoo-jin, ever since their parents passed away in a tragic accident. However, Yoo-jin has been struggling with mental health issues and has been on medication for a long time.

As the film begins, Yoo-jin's medication runs out, and she starts experiencing paranormal activities in their home. While Yoo-mi dismisses these events as her sister's hallucinations, she soon realizes that something sinister is going on. The sisters find out that a woman, Eun-ju (played by Park Ji-young), had been living in the apartment before they moved in. Eun-ju had been obsessed with the idea of having a child and had even gone through an abortion before hanging herself in the apartment.

The sisters soon realize that the ghost of Eun-ju is haunting them, and they struggle to find a way to get rid of her. However, things become more complicated as Yoo-jin's mental health deteriorates, and she becomes more vulnerable to the ghost's attacks. Yoo-mi tries to protect her sister, but she soon finds herself trapped in a nightmare that she cannot escape from.

One of the most impressive aspects of Lingering is the strong performances of the cast. Se-yeong Lee, who is best known for her performance in The Great Battle, delivers an emotionally charged performance as Yoo-mi. She portrays the character's fear and desperation perfectly, making the audience empathize with her throughout the film. So-yi Park is equally impressive as Yoo-jin. She captures the character's vulnerability and emotional instability with remarkable accuracy.

Park Ji-young delivers an impressive performance as Eun-ju, the ghost haunting the apartment. She adds an intimidating energy to the film, making the audience feel uneasy whenever she appears on the screen.

The film's direction and cinematography are excellent, adding to the overall creepy atmosphere of the movie. The use of shadows and lighting in various scenes creates an intense sense of foreboding that keeps the audience at the edge of their seats. The film's pacing is also well balanced, with enough scares to keep the audience engaged throughout.

Overall, Lingering is a well-made horror movie with strong performances, great direction, and cinematography. The film's themes of trauma, mental illness, and grief make it a compelling and emotionally charged watch. Whether you are a fan of horror movies or not, Lingering is a movie that is worth checking out. Just be prepared to be scared.
