David and Linda are West Coast yuppies in their 30s who are used to living the high life, but when his career takes a disappointing turn, David decides that the time has come to take his job and shove it, and he convinces a reluctant Linda to follow suit. Inspired by the movie Easy Rider, he decides that the two of them should live out the rest of their marriage as free spirits traveling the country in a Winnebago. This seems like a path to excitement, but all sorts of calamities occur, and he begins to miss his old life.
