Robert and Ellen are a married couple that the film also focuses on. One night, they throw a party for their friends. Robert and Ellen’s marriage is stale, and Ellen tries to get everybody at the party to talk about sex and romance. Robert keeps changing the subject back to business dealings. After the party, Ellen tries to have sex with Robert, but he rebuffs her advances. Fed up, she tells him that she wants to see other men. He surprises her by telling her in return that he also wants to see other men. Ellen allows Robert to seek sex outside the marriage. Soon, he meets an enticing artist named Martin. The film continues to follow Martin as he meets a young woman at an art gallery. The characters are all intertwined with each other.
