Maanagrakaval is a 1991 Tamil action film starring Vijayakanth and Suma Ranganath in the lead roles. The film was directed by R. Sundarrajan and produced by Kovaithambi. The movie tells the story of a dedicated police officer named Krishna who is determined to eradicate crime from the city. During his mission, he meets a young woman named Kavitha, who is the sister of one of the gang members. Kavitha is innocently unaware of her brother's activities and falls in love with Krishna.

As Krishna gets closer to the gang, he realizes that their leader is none other than his own colleague, who he had trusted and respected all these years. The gang leader becomes aware of Krishna's identity and frames him for a murder case. Krishna is arrested and sent to jail, where he faces a lot of difficulties in proving his innocence.

However, his wife Shanthi, Kavitha, and his colleague come together to help him clear his name and bring the real culprits to justice. In the end, Krishna emerges victorious and the city is rid of the gang's criminal activities.

The film's storyline is a typical action-masala genre with a good mix of action, romance, and drama. Vijayakanth delivers an excellent performance as the hardworking and determined police officer, Krishna. Suma Ranganath, who plays the role of his wife, brings sensitivity and emotional depth to her character.

The movie also features an excellent supporting cast, including Nassar, Senthil, and others who have played their roles effectively. The dialogues are sharp and impactful, and the action sequences are well choreographed.
