Man of the East is a 1972 spaghetti western comedy movie directed by Enzo Barboni and starring Terence Hill, Gregory Walcott, and Yanti Somer. The movie tells the story of Sir Thomas Fitzpatrick Phillip Moore, a spoiled and wealthy Englishman who inherits a sizeable fortune from his late father. He heads to the Wild West to claim his inheritance, only to find that he cannot access it until he proves himself to be a true man of the West. He sets out to do so, encountering a series of humorous misadventures on his journey.

The film opens with a narration informing the audience of the death of Sir Thomas Fitzpatrick Phillip Moore's father, and how his inheritance is conditional on his showing himself to be a man of the West. Sir Thomas sets off for America, dressed in his finest tailor-made suits and carrying his butler, Picchio, as his only travelling companion. They arrive in a small western town where they immediately draw attention, with their fancy clothes and out of place mannerisms.

Sir Thomas soon encounters a group of bandits who try to rob him, but he manages to fend them off using his sword-fighting skills. He then becomes involved in a rivalry with a local gunslinger named "Waco" and his gang. Sir Thomas tries to show his abilities as a gunfighter, which leads to many humorous and absurd situations. He also falls in love with the daughter of the town's saloon owner, but is initially rebuffed due to his lack of toughness.

As Sir Thomas continues his quest to prove himself as a true man of the West, he is aided by a group of eccentric characters, including a Chinese cook and a Native American maiden. Together they take on a group of robbers, and this leads to a series of hilarious hijinks and slapstick routines. The plot thickens as Sir Thomas and Picchio find themselves in a dangerous situation, only to be saved by the timely intervention of a group of Native Americans.

In the end, Sir Thomas learns that being a true man of the West is not just about toughness and combat skills but also about honor, loyalty, and justice. He also earns the respect of the townspeople and the love of his lady.

The film is full of humorous situations, over-the-top action scenes, and colorful characters, all of which are a staple of spaghetti westerns. Terence Hill is charming as Sir Thomas, and his comedic timing and physical acting are on full display. Yanti Somer is also excellent as the saloon owner's daughter, providing a balance of beauty, brains, and strength.

Overall, Man of the East is a highly entertaining and amusing Western comedy that is highly recommended for fans of the genre. The film is a testament to the talent of the filmmakers and the cast who were able to make a comedy out of the spaghetti western formula.
