The other actors are also excellent, particularly Chester Rushing as Asher's older brother. Rushing plays Chester as a brutal, irredeemable monster, but he's also able to bring nuance and subtlety to the role. There are moments where we see the wounded, broken little boy hiding underneath Chester's thuggish exterior, and it's a testament to Rushing's talent that he's able to convey that without ever losing sight of the character's monstrousness.

Trina LaFargue also deserves a mention for her supporting role as Asher's love interest. She brings a quiet strength and grace to the role, and her scenes with White are some of the film's most affecting.

My Father, Die is not an easy film to watch. It's violent, bleak, and unrelenting, and it's not exactly a feel-good movie. But it's also a beautifully crafted piece of filmmaking, and it's a testament to the talent of Sean Brosnan and his cast and crew that they're able to create something so mesmerizing and unforgettable out of such dark subject matter.
