Namibia: The Struggle for Liberation is a documentary style film as seen through the eyes of Sam Nujoma, the leader of a Namibian liberation organization and the first president of Namibia. It's a historical account which illustrates how the country of Namibia, in Southwest Africa, became a free and independent country in 1990 from South Africa. This was largely due to a United Nations peace process and organized elections, as well as the efforts of the Namibian people to achieve their own sovereignty in deciding their own affairs. It's the triumph of the human spirit in spite of insurmountable circumstances.
