Watch Ninja

"A Silent Warrior. A Lethal Mission."

If you loved "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," just add eight cups of sugar and a pound of caffeine and you have "Ninja." Ninja is a roller coaster ride of action from the opening scene through out the movie until the final mountaintop battle scene. It pauses with mild drama and dialogue just in time to allow you to catch your breath and let your eyes refocus from the last CG action effects sequence.

Be warned. This is not a "chick flick" and there is enough blood and gore to even make Quentin Tarantino envious. The plot line is simple. Baby ninja turns into big ninja and ends up fighting bad guys as well as the rest of the Ninja's on the planet. It helps when your the only Ninja with super healing powers.

This is clearly a popcorn "light them up" movie. While the plot line is predictable, the story does not take itself too seriously and I found myself enjoying the ninety minutes of cinema.

If you are a fan of martial arts cinema, you will "love" this movie. If only Bruce Lee had CG back in the day. Ninja makes you appreciate the traditional martial art movies which used no computer graphics. The fun fact about Ninja is that with all of the computer graphics one will find themselves enjoying the martial art sequences even more so.

If you have 3-D be prepared to duck multiple flying stars and the lethal blows of nunchucks. Ninja will leave you out of breath.
