The Metal Hurlant Chronicles is an anthology series based on the popular comic magazine of the same name. Metal Hurlant was the inspiration for the American illustrated magazine Heavy Metal. The television series was filmed in Europe in primarily English, with mostly American actors. Metal Hurlant Chronicles follows a chunk of a dead planet through the galaxy as it interacts with various worlds. The chunk drives the people mad on the planets it visits. Each story has a twist that throws the rest of the story into a different light. The series is story driven, instead of relying on star power. The actors that guest star are well known from other science fiction movies and shows. The episodes themselves are live action versions of the stories found in Metal Hurlant and Heavy Metal. The series has guest stars, such as Michael Jai White and Joe Flanagen, for its thirty minute shows. The stories all show that the worlds and their cultures are not what they seem. The show is for those who love the stories that are in science fiction of the 1980's, just updated.
