Tracy and Jay's vacation plans fall through when their mother fails to pick them up and sends them to their billionaire grandfather instead. Events conspire to have the siblings share a taxi with would-be safecrackers and robbers, Duke and Bert. The children pretend they have been kidnapped and demand ransom in order to raise money for a plane ticket to join their mother in Hong Kong. Their plans go awry, however, as the police and a local gangster get involved in the farce.
