This British-made horror flick takes place in a creepy Gothic mansion. Seven children live in the mansion along with their dying mother. Their mother won't go to a doctor and she makes life for the kids miserable. Before she dies she inflicts great guilt on them. After her death the children decide stay out of an orphanage by pretending she is still alive. They bury her in the garden and continue life in an ordinary manner. Ordinary until their dad shows up. At first he joins in the façade, but the suspense truly builds when the guilt their mother buried inside the children is played out on the father.
