Pandorum is a science-fiction thriller that was written and directed by Christian Alvart. It starred: Dennis Quaid, Ben Foster, Cam Gigandet, Cung Le and Eddie Rouse. The movie begins on the spaceship Elysium where Lieutenant Payton and Corporal Bower are waking up in hyper-sleep chambers. The ship was on a colonizing mission to the planet Tanis from earth and it had 60,000 passengers board. Neither man has any recognition as to who they are, where they are or what their mission was. The only way out of the chambers is through a small air shaft and while Bower climbs through it, Payton is left with the radio transmitter. As he starts travelling through the ship he physically starts getting the signs of pandorum, a mental illness that is caused by extended periods of space travel. He continues to push on but the line between reality and insanity starts to blur. Going through the ship he trips over decapitated bodies and is confronted by alien-like beasts that capture and then kill their prey. He also finds a genetic engineer named Nadia and an agricultural scientist named Manh. They have been awake much longer than what he has and they have seen no signs of human life. On the flight deck they also find another survivor, Corporal Gallo. He tells them that he was part of a flight crew that was notified of the destruction of earth and boarded the Elysium as a last hope. He tells them that others in his crew had also boarded but soon after they suffered from pandorum and he killed them in self-defense. Bower accompanied by Manh and Nadia continue to search through the ship and find the cook Leland hiding. He begins to tell them through the use of murals on the walls, what took place after the final message from earth was received. He also tells them of the creatures and horrors that are lurking on the ship.
