Priest is an 2011 action/adventure movie starring Paul Bettany as the hero Priest. It is based in the near future where vampires and humans have made war with each other for ages. During this warring time, the churches came together to find a solution to humanities woes. They created the priest who are equipped and trained to battle the vampires. When most of the vampires are vanquished the church constructs a wall to protect the people from the vampires. While the humans lived securely behind the walls, the vampires were forced to live in reservations of sorts. Since the threat of vampire attacks had been all but neutralized the Church decided to retire the Priests. Hicks who is a local sheriff in a town outside the walls of the Church finds Priest one day and tells him of his struggles with vampires. Hicks tells Priest that his niece and ex-girlfriend have all been attacked by the vampires and that he needs his help to rid the town of them. Priest goes to the Church to be re-instated as an active vampire slayer. The Church refuses because of non-belief and tells Priest not to mention any attacks to the inhibitions of the city. Frustrated with the Church Priest decides to go against orders and accompany Hicks into his town. When knowledge of Priest insubordination arrives to the Church they send other Priests after him to try and stop him. Arriving at Hicks town sheds light on a new alliance between some humans and the vampires. These humans called the Familiars are servants of the vampires and do their bidding during the daytime in exchange for protection. After a battle between the Priests and some vampires, Priest and Priestess decide to align with one another to defeat the vampires. In another town an ominous train arrives at a station carrying hundreds of vampires ready to feed, the Priest that have arrived here are overpowered and killed.
