Washington Irving’s familiar Knickerbocker tale is adapted for children in this film. Its good-humored hero takes a walk into New York State’s Catskill Mountains with his dog Wolf. Rip, who is fond of naps and not so found of work, meets a group of strangers who are bowling. After drinking a beverage they offer him, Rip goes to sleep only to awaken to find his world a very different place.
