Savage Pampas is a western adventure film set in Argentina during the late 19th century. The movie stars Robert Taylor as Captain Martín, the leader of a group of Argentinean soldiers assigned to protect a new settlement in the Pampas from attacks by the native Mapuche tribe. The story starts with a brutal attack on a caravan of settlers en route to the new settlement. The attack is led by a warrior named Patoruzú (played by Mario Lozano), who manages to kill many of the settlers and escape with their horses. Captain Martín is then tasked with going after Patoruzú and bringing him and his warriors to justice.

As the story progresses, the audience is introduced to the lives of both the soldiers and the Mapuche tribe. The soldiers, who are far away from their homes and loved ones, struggle with their mission and the constant threat of being attacked. They also have to deal with the harsh conditions of the Pampas and a lack of resources.

The Mapuche, on the other hand, are shown as a proud and resilient tribe that is fighting to protect their way of life. Patoruzú, in particular, is portrayed as a complex character, torn between his loyalty to his tribe and his love for a beautiful young woman named Tehuelche (played by Felicia Roc), who is also the daughter of the Mapuche chief.

As Captain Martín and his soldiers track down Patoruzú and his warriors, they face a number of challenges and obstacles. From the fierce terrain to the cunning tactics of the Mapuche, the soldiers are constantly on edge and must remain vigilant.

The movie builds to an explosive climax, as the two sides come face to face in a battle that will decide the fate of the settlement and the future of the Mapuche tribe.

Overall, Savage Pampas is a gripping tale of survival, loyalty, and duty. The performances by the lead actors are strong, with Robert Taylor effectively portraying the stoic and determined Captain Martín, and Mario Lozano bringing depth and complexity to the character of Patoruzú.

The film also benefits from its stunning cinematography, with the harsh beauty of the Pampas providing a vivid backdrop to the action.

While Savage Pampas may not be as well-known as other westerns of its era, it remains a compelling and engaging film that deserves to be seen by fans of the genre.
