Based on the true story of Larry Winters, a Scottish criminal who was sentenced to life imprisonment after committing a murder in a London bar. Winters story is told in a series of flashbacks that feature Winters and explain his slow movement towards becoming a criminal from his days as a child in Scotland. The film details the drug addiction and isolation that bring about his difficult memories and hallucinations that include the murder he was imprisoned for and his exploits as a soldier in the British military.
