Sparkle is a film which was made in 2011 but released in 2012. The movie is actually a remake of the original film back in 1976 which showcases how three singing teens form a girl group. The original showed them performing back in the 50's, but this version focuses more on motown and music in the 60's. The movie is extremely wonderful because there are plenty of singing, dancing, and all kinds of great songs performed from a very long time ago. The music in this film is wonderful, relaxing, and definitely uplifting until the last note is played. In the film, three sisters from Harlem love to sing, perform, and show off their voices. They literally take their entire local area by storm when they are discovered and become local singing sensations. They end up gaining attention from major record labels in the music industry. They definitely gain the fame they deserve and perform very well quite often in the movie. Their voices in the film are very wonderful. Jordin Sparks, who stars in the movie, delivers a powerful voice with stunning vocals and acting that could light up any big stage. The show and the movie continues with the three sisters dealing with family problems because of their slight fame which begins to take place. At the beginning of their careers they are known for being a close-knit family with an amazing array of musical talent and gift that other families will usually not have. However, the family takes a downturn because of the great success they have achieved. They try to overcome this aspect as the movie progresses, and as the original movie was made, they definitely make it through until the ending and develop a stronger bond within each other. Sparkle is a film that showcases the love of music in a family and how fame or other musical instances should never ruin the love of a family. The truth is that there are all kinds of people who struggle with the same story in this film, so this is a great movie which has some real life occurences take place. The movie also stars Whitney Houston, but sadly this marks as her fifth and final film before her official death on February 2012. The film has now been considered as in memory of her life and her great musical career. If you enjoy musical movies with great singing and wonderful acting, this could be a great movie choice.
