The two African American families meet at Martha's Vineyard to participate in a lavish weekend. Unfortunately some family secrets are told and the truth comes out on who is actually Sabrina's mother. Sabrina decides not only to cancel the wedding but drives away hurt from the truth. They both will need to search for what truly matters in life along with the truth, a touch of faith, lots of love, and believe in their heritage. Jason has all the family members look for Sabrina only to finds her and reconciles his love. Jason and Sabrina include all the families' traditions in the wedding ceremony including jumping the broom. At the end of the movie, the entire family will join in to move to the cupid shuffle and everyone will live happily ever after.
