Splendor In The Grass is a 1961 movie directed by Elia Kazan, starring Natalie Wood and Warren Beatty. The movie takes place during the 1920s in a small town in Kansas. Natalie Wood's character, Deanie, is romantically involved with her high school sweetheart, Bud, played by Warren Beatty.
