Summer Camp is a gripping horror film that revolves around a group of young people who attend a summer camp in Spain to learn English. The story progresses around four American camp counselors namely Will (Diego Boneta), Michelle (Jocelin Donahue), Christy (Maiara Walsh), and Antonio, who welcome a group of international teenagers to the camp. However, things take a sudden turn when one of the teens vomits blood and falls unconscious. Soon, the entire group gets affected, and the virus starts spreading rapidly. The situation turns chaotic when the government seals off the entire camp to prevent an epidemic.

As the story unfolds, the group faces several obstacles while trying to escape the quarantine zone. The virus-infected teenagers start turning into aggressive and cannibalistic creatures, making it almost impossible for the group to survive. In their quest to escape, Will, Michelle, and Christy come across several abandoned buildings in the woods, which they use as a hiding place. But as the day progresses, the virus starts to consume them, leading to a terrifying climax.

The film is directed by Alberto Marini, who is known for his work on popular horror movies like "REC." Summer Camp has all the elements of a classic horror film- jump scares, suspense, gore, and thrilling chase sequences. The movie keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats with its crisp storytelling and vivid cinematography.

One of the standout features of this movie is its cast. Diego Boneta, who rose to fame with his role in "Rock of Ages," delivers an impressive performance as Will, the camp counselor who takes the lead in the group's escape plan. Jocelin Donahue's portrayal of Michelle adds an emotional depth to the story. Her bonding with a young girl named Ana, one of the survivors of the virus, forms one of the essential subplots of the film. Maiara Walsh's character Christy starts as a cliche, but her transformation towards the end of the movie is one of the highlights of the story.

Another aspect that makes this movie stand out is its location. The film is shot in various picturesque locations in Spain, including Madrid and Barcelona, making it visually appealing. The use of drones to film the surrounding landscapes adds an element of scale to the movie.

The movie's soundtrack, composed by Lucas Vidal, adds to the overall suspense and horror of the film. It perfectly complements the visuals and enhances the movie's mood.

The only downside of the movie is that it doesn't dwell much into the origin of the virus and its backstory. It is difficult to understand the cause and the extent of the virus's impact, which could have added more depth to the storyline.

In conclusion, Summer Camp is a well-made horror-thriller that is sure to keep the viewers on the edge of their seats. With its talented cast, beautiful locations, and thrilling storyline, it is a movie that is not to be missed. The film is an excellent addition to the horror genre and is highly recommended for anyone who loves a good horror movie.
