Texas Lady is a 1955 western about Prudence Webb, who travels to Fort Ralston, Texas to claim The Clarion, a newspaper her deceased father won in a card game. After having her claim on the paper being challenged by the editor Clay Ballard, a riverboat gambler named Chris that Prudence beat in cards not once but twice, shows up to complicate matters of the heart. Prudence must raise money to pay trumped up back taxes, survive a shoot out, and try to settle into small town life run by a power hungry man.
