This thriller tels the story of Alison, an unhappy woman who wakes up on a train bound for Boston and has no idea how she got on board. Alison's husband Richard is having her watched by the police, who believe she could be a danger to herself and her husband. Returning home by plane, Alison meets the handsome Bruce, who falls in love with her and vows to do all he can to help her out of her predicament. Alison begins to visit the mysterious Dr. Rhinehart who appears to know more about Alison's life than he tells her.
