The Beat That My Heart Skipped

Tom is a twenty eight year old tough guy who takes after his criminal father by working crooked real estate deals, chasing out squatters, and dealing with shady loan sharks. One day he gets the chance to follow in his mother's footsteps instead, she was a concert pianist and he runs into her old manager who lets him audition. Tom begins his studies under a Chinese piano teacher who speaks no French. But balancing his two lives becomes a dangerous game as the lessons take time from work and however much he wants to change himself, Tom's future is uncertain.
