The Bling Ring is a film that focuses on a group of teenagers that hatch a plan to steal objects from famous people's homes in Los Angeles. The teens use the internet to find the famous people's homes in the Hollywood hills area. The young people plan on going on a crime-spree in the people's home because they want to have the glamorous lifestyle too. The criminals end up getting about 3 million in luxury good from the celebrities homes. The victims of the gang called the "Bling Ring" include: Rachel Bilson, Orlando Bloom, and Paris Hilton. The main two criminals are Rachel Lee and Nick Prugo; although they had help from some of their friends. Lee was the ring's leader, but Prugo was the look out for the group. The members of the group came from troubled backgrounds, and ended up going to jail for several years because of their robberies. Lee was studying to be an artist at a local college before she got into trouble for petty theft. She got kicked out of college, and lost her scholarship. Lee eventually moved out of California, and she was arrested at her father's house in Las Vegas. The movie goes into the lives of the teenagers, and what led them to break into celebrity homes. The gang goes into their rationale about why they choose the homes that they did. Paris Hilton's home was robbed because they figured she would leave money and valuables laying around. Lindsay Lohan's home was robbed because Lee liked the clothes she bought. The friends claimed to be nervous during all of the robberies; however, Lee used the bathroom at a couple of the famous people's homes. They were able to get over $500,000. This film is based on true events. The crime/drama movie is rated "R."
