The Cost of Love is a British indie movie that revolves around the life of a handsome gym instructor, Dale (played by Christopher Kelham). Dale is a charming womanizer who is always looking for his next conquest. Promiscuity has been his way of life and he is convinced that he is living life to the fullest. Dale lives his life on a whim, not caring about the people he meets in his daily life.

One day, Dale meets a man named Raj (Valmike Rampersad) who is nothing like any person he has ever met before. Raj is an eccentric customer of the gym where Dale works. The two of them have an unlikely connection as Raj is very shy and has no friends, while Dale is the complete opposite. Raj is very curious about Dale's life and starts to follow him around, much to Dale's annoyance.

As time passes, Dale realizes that Raj's intentions are not to become his friend, but to become something more. Raj is gay and has never had a relationship before. Dale, who has never considered any sort of close relationship with anyone, is now the center of Raj's affection. Dale finds himself in a predicament he has never been in before. He is flattered by Raj's attention but he is confused about his own sexual orientation.

As the movie progresses, Dale becomes more aware of his own feelings towards Raj. His initial confusion turns into denial and he tries to push Raj away. However, Raj's pure and unwavering love forces Dale to take a closer look at himself.

The Cost of Love is not just about the relationship between Dale and Raj, but it also deals with the issue of promiscuity in today's society. Dale is a man who has never been in touch with his own feelings and has used women as a means of instant gratification. The movie highlights the emotional cost of such a lifestyle and how it can damage not only the individual but also the people around them.

The Cost of Love deals with a subject that is often ignored in cinema, homosexual relationships between people who are not defined by their sexuality. The movie is a refreshing take on such relationships as it shows them in a very relatable and real way. The character of Raj, who is a shy and vulnerable person, is a stark contrast to the confident and self-assured Dale. However, the movie does not paint Dale as the typical "bad guy" who is unfeeling and uncaring towards others. Instead, he is portrayed as someone who is simply confused and unaware of his own emotions.

The movie is set in London and has a very authentic feel to it. The cinematography is excellent, capturing the essence of the city perfectly. The music is also well-chosen and adds to the atmosphere of the movie.

Overall, The Cost of Love is a great movie that deals with real-life issues in a very mature and thoughtful way. The movie has no stereotypes or over-used themes, making it a very fresh and original take on a subject that is often mishandled. The Cost of Love is a movie that is both touching and thought-provoking, and it is a must-watch for anyone who wants to be moved by a great story.
