The people, seeing that the Emperor is naked and that the outfit is a fraud, are too afraid to say anything, afraid of being seen as fools themselves. It is only a young boy who publicly declares that the Emperor is not wearing any clothes, allowing the people to finally see the truth and laugh at the Emperor's foolishness.

Throughout the movie, Mark Isham's lovely and evocative musical score serves to enhance the delightful performances and witty script. The sets and costumes are equally stunning, taking viewers on a whimsical and visually mesmerizing journey through this classic tale.
