Watch The Gift

This 2015 movie is about a couple who have relocated to California. Not long after arriving in their new home Robyn suffers a miscarriage, leaving her heartbroken. When Simon and Robyn are out shopping they run into one of his old classmates named Gordo, who is quite an odd character. Suddenly he starts showering them with gifts, trying to buy their friendship. After remembering Gordo and how he was in school, Simon gets apprehensive feelings about him. Things start to get really strange, such as family pets dying mysteriously. Robyn has an eerie feeling that Gordo is following her and watching every move she makes. The couple receive a letter of apology from Gordo expressing how sorry he is to have bothered them. When Robyn and Simon find out that they are getting another chance to be parents, become overwhelmed with happiness. After a conversation with Simon's sister, Robyn finds out that Gordo had a disturbing encounter while attending high school, which explains why he is such a troubled young man and what is eating him up inside.
