In 1978, A film adaptation based on a Henry James' short story named "The Green Room" and was directed by French director François Truffaut. The film depicts the story of a man named Julian, living in late 20's France. Julian is a newspaper editor for "The Globe" and is known for being the best obituary writer in town. He also spends his time constructing shrines for the dead and close friends he had lost in World War I across the town. Everything changes when a thunderstorm and fire destroy a large memorial of his late wife within the Green Room.
