William was miserable when he was a teenager. Overweight and relentlessly bullied by his peers, he ended up fleeing to the big city to get away from his tormentors. In the ten years since, he has made a very good life for himself, getting fit and trim and coming out as gay in a world where that is accepted. When he returns to the old family homestead, however, all of the painful memories come flooding back, and he realizes that he is going to have to really face the pain of his part before he can truly embrace his future.
