This film tells the tale of a young woman who has become so infatuated with one aspect of her life, that others around her are beginning to notice serious changes. Francesca is a young, pediatrician who has no other care in life other than the care of her patients, and the love of her husband, who is also a doctor. After the couple have a child of their own, Francesca becomes obsessed with the child. Her friends and husband begin to notice that she is slipping into a depression, obvious by the fact that she literally is afraid to leave the child's bedside. They decide it is best for her to move to a new home. However, once there they begin to notice that it may be something darker that is haunting her.
