The Planter's Wife is a 1952 drama. The story takes place in Malaya during a Communist uprising referred to as the Malayan Emergency. Jim Frazer manages a rubber plantation. The Communist uprising threatens the plantation. He becomes particularly alarmed when a neighbor is killed on a nearby plantation. Frazer also has to deal with his troubled relationship with his American wife Liz. He struggles to save his marriage while making plans to protect the rubber plantation. The film was released in the United States as Outpost in Malaya. The film has lots of battle scenes and action including a fight between a cobra and a mongoose.
