Watch The Story Of Gilbert and Sullivan

This 1953 movie tell the story of how Arthur Sullivan, a young composer, meets up with W.S. Gilbert to create a comic opera called Trial by July. He enjoys the collaboration and the praise his work receives and decides to continue the collaboration. Trouble brews when Sullivan wants to return to serious work after working with Gilbert on three successful comic operas. This movie shows the ongoing struggle the men had and their rivalry while creating other operas and musical compositions.
