The Suicide Forecast is a 2011 South Korean comedy-drama film starring Seung-beom Ryu, Dong-il Sung, and Cheol-min Park. Directed by Jo Jin-mo and written by Yoo Sung-hyub and Lee Woo-jung, the film tells the story of Bae Byung-woo (Seung-beom Ryu), a successful insurance salesman who finds himself in an unusual position when he is tasked with preventing his client's suicide.

The story revolves around Bae Byung-woo, a man who sells life insurance policies for a living. Despite the fact that he is very good at his job, he is a bit of a loner and doesn't have many friends. One day, he receives a phone call from a client, who tells him that he is planning to commit suicide. Bae Byung-woo is shocked by the news, but he also sees an opportunity to make a sale.

When he arrives at his client's house, he discovers that the man is serious about taking his own life. However, this isn't the end of Bae Byung-woo's involvement in the situation. He soon realizes that he has a talent for talking people out of suicide, and he begins to receive more and more referrals from people who are worried about their loved ones.

As Bae Byung-woo becomes more involved in the lives of these troubled individuals, he also begins to learn more about himself. He discovers that he has a natural ability to connect with people, and he starts to feel a sense of purpose that he has never felt before. However, he also finds himself getting drawn into some very difficult situations, and he realizes that he may be in over his head.

Throughout the film, we see Bae Byung-woo dealing with a variety of different clients, each with their own unique problems. Some are dealing with financial troubles, while others are struggling with relationship issues or mental health problems. Bae Byung-woo uses his skills to help these people see the value in their own lives, and he ultimately helps them find a way to move forward.

One of the strengths of The Suicide Forecast is its ability to balance comedy and drama. There are some genuinely funny moments in the film, but there are also some very heavy emotional moments. Seung-beom Ryu gives a great performance as Bae Byung-woo, and he is able to handle both the comedic and dramatic elements of the story with ease.

The supporting cast is also excellent, particularly Dong-il Sung as Baek Min-jae, a police officer who becomes an important ally to Bae Byung-woo. Cheol-min Park also gives a great performance as Bae Byung-woo's boss, who is initially skeptical of his new approach to selling insurance but ultimately comes to see its value.

Overall, The Suicide Forecast is a touching and thought-provoking film that deals with a difficult subject matter in a sensitive and nuanced way. It is a great showcase for Seung-beom Ryu's talent as an actor, and it is an excellent example of the kind of high-quality films that South Korea has been producing in recent years.
