Tiger Eyes is a film based on the 1981 novel written by Judy Blume. The movie is about a girl who is trying to deal with her father's (Adam) murder during a holdup at a 7-eleven store they own. After attending the funeral, Davey Wexler, ends up not eating and passing out for several days. Gwen, Davey's mother decides to take the family to visit Bitsy, Adam's sister, to get away. Bitsy lives with her husband Walter in New Mexico. A few days before they decide to leave and return home, Gwen gets news that their store has been vandalized. Because of that, they decide to stay in New Mexico. Bitsy and Walter have no children, so they begin to treat Davey and Jason (Davey's brother) like their own children. During their stay with her aunt and uncle, Davey explores the town and begins to call herself Tiger. She becomes a candy stripper, meets new people and works through the pain of her father's death.
