Till Human Voices Wake Us is a romance story of a man who lost a close female friend in his teenage years and feelings are reawakened when he returns home to bury his father. Sam is older and grown up. He has become a psychologist and returns to his hometown to bury his father. While staying at the family home he begins to remember the summer when his friend, Silvy, disappeared one night while they were floating in the local lake. She was never found. He meets a woman name Ruby who reminds him of Silvy. He must solve the mystery of Ruby's past.
