Timbuktu is a classic black-and-white adventure film that depicts the story of an American arms dealer during a time when France was at war with Germany. With the French busy at home, the Tuareg use the opportunity to drive out French troops currently at Timbuktu. That decision creates problems for the arms dealer who needs both sides to keep his business flourishing. Caught in the middle, he hatches a plot that will support his cause but is soon cast into an adventure that puts his life in danger and forces him to come to some serious decisions.
