This is a dramatic movie about a woman who escapes Europe during the Austrian-Prussian war. She finds her way to the American west and begins a new life. Salome was a dancer in Europe. When she is accused of being a spy, she must leave or end up in prison. She runs to America, and lands in a small town in Arizona. The townspeople are suspicious at first, but eventually her dancing shows amaze them. The people rename the town after her. She eventually moves on and decides to head for San Francisco. There she will meet and impress many people, especially the men.
