In the year 1994, a visionary by the name of Kevin Burns decided that he wanted to be a part of something that had never seen the light of fruition in years past. Burns had come up with the idea that he would build the first ever English-based stand-up comedy establishment in the country of Japan. He creates a venue by the name of, Tokyo Comedy Store, and invites English-speaking comedians to perform their craft in the big city of Tokyo. This documentary focuses on the origins of the club as well as exploring the difference between Western and Eastern styles of comedy.
