The film is directed by Haranath Chakraborty and produced by Debendra Kuchar in association with Bhiwandiwalla Production Pvt. Ltd. The story of Tulkalam revolves around a small village in West Bengal, where the main source of income for the villagers is farming. The movie tells the story of a farmer named Bhanu (Mithun Chakraborty), who lives with his wife and two children, a son and a daughter. Bhanu is a dedicated farmer who has been working hard all his life to provide for his family. However, despite his efforts, he fails to make ends meet.

One day, Bhanu comes across a youth named Tulu (Rajatabha Dutta), who is a professional boxer. Tulu is a confident and charismatic young man who has made a name for himself in the world of boxing. Bhanu is impressed by Tulu's skills and persuades him to stay with him and train his son, Babu (played by Soham Chakraborty), to become a boxer as well.

Tulu initially refuses to train Babu, as he feels that the boy lacks the necessary talent and motivation to become a boxer. However, Bhanu convinces Tulu to give it a try by offering him a significant amount of money. With no other options, Tulu agrees to train Babu and soon realizes that the boy has a natural talent for the sport.

Babu soon starts winning local boxing matches, and his success brings a newfound sense of hope to Bhanu's family and the entire village. However, their happiness is short-lived, as Babu injures his hand during a match and is unable to continue boxing. Disappointed with this setback, Tulu decides to leave the village and pursue his boxing career elsewhere.

Bhanu, realizing the impact that Tulu had on his family and the village, sets out to bring him back. He travels across the state and finally finds Tulu, who has become a successful boxer in Kolkata. Bhanu pleads with him to return and help Babu recover from his injury and continue his boxing career.

Tulu eventually agrees to come back and help Babu, and together, they train hard to prepare for the upcoming state championship. However, they face formidable opponents, and it soon becomes clear that winning will not be easy.

The film explores the themes of determination, perseverance, and the power of belief. It showcases how one man's dedication and hard work can inspire an entire community and bring about significant change. The performances of the lead actors, particularly Mithun Chakraborty and Rajatabha Dutta, are outstanding, and the film's direction and cinematography are visually stunning.
