Adam Devine stars as Noah Ashby, a young man who has been in love with Avery Martin (Alexandra Daddario) since they first met at a Halloween party three years ago. He finally gets his chance to make a move when they attend a concert together, but Avery tells him that she just wants to be friends. Noah is heartbroken, and can't seem to move on from his feelings for her.

One night, after drowning his sorrows at a bar, Noah discovers a magical photo booth that allows him to travel back in time to the night he first met Avery. He realizes that he can use this opportunity to try and win her over again, but each time he goes back, the results are the same. He can't seem to figure out what he's doing wrong.

Noah's best friend and confidante, Carrie (Shelley Hennig), helps him navigate his time-traveling adventures and provides some much-needed guidance on love and relationships. But as Noah continues to relive that fateful Halloween night over and over again, he starts to question whether Avery is really the one for him, or if he's meant to be with someone else entirely.

As the movie progresses, we see a series of comical and heartfelt attempts by Noah to win Avery's heart. At one point, he even goes back in time to stop Avery from meeting her current boyfriend. But each time he goes back and tries to change something, he discovers a new consequence that he didn't foresee, and has to figure out how to fix it.

Along the way, we learn more about Noah and Avery's relationship, and see how they've grown and changed over the years. We also see how Noah's time-traveling adventures affect their friendship, and whether they will ultimately end up together or apart.

When We First Met is a charming and witty romantic comedy that explores the age-old question of whether we can change our fate, and whether we should. Adam Devine delivers a standout performance as the lovable and earnest Noah, while Alexandra Daddario brings depth and nuance to her portrayal of Avery. Shelley Hennig provides comedic relief as the wise and irreverent Carrie.

Overall, the film is a fun and engaging exploration of the complexities of love and relationships. It manages to balance humor and heart with ease, and leaves the audience feeling uplifted and hopeful. Whether you're a hopeless romantic or a skeptic, When We First Met is a must-watch for anyone who has ever wondered "what if?"
