Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot follows journalist Kim Baker, who volunteered to travel to Afghanistan to cover the war. It doesn't take her long to realize that her new work environment is completely different than the one she's used to back home. She's one of the few women there, making her more attractive to her male colleagues. Along with that, finding good stories for the news turns out to be a lot harder than she originally thought. The beginning of her journey focuses on more comical aspects of her new work because she's learning how to adapt to the new environment and people. Once she figures out how to work there, things start to turn more serious. Events transpire that make her question why she's there, who she's around, and if it's really worth staying to continue her work. The film follows her through tough emotional and occupational choices. Others around her make difficult choices of their own, impacting what she ends up during and following the climax.
