Witchouse is a horror film from 1999 directed by David DeCoteau. The movie plot revolves around a group of four college friends who arrive at an old and abandoned mansion in the countryside, rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a witch who was burned alive centuries ago. These friends enter the house, equipped with the latest in ghost hunting technology, to prove that ghosts do not exist. However, they soon find out that the rumors were true, and the house is indeed haunted by the witch's vengeful spirit.

The main character, Allen (played by Matt Raftery), is a skeptic and a non-believer in paranormal activities, unlike his friends. His buddies, consisting of three girls, Rachel (Brooke Mueller), Stevie (Monica Serene Garnich), and Ashley (Ashley McKinney Taylor), are more interested in the occult and ghost hunting. The group plans to spend the weekend in the haunted house to prove the existence of ghosts to Allen. But when they arrive at the property, they find that the house is bizarrely equipped with advanced technology and gadgets, which makes them wonder.

The group begins to explore the house, but soon strange things start to happen. The ghostly apparition of the witch appears to each of them, and they all begin to experience horrifying nightmares. They soon realize that the witch is manipulating their thoughts, intentions, and emotions, leading them to their ruin. They also find out that the witch's ghost is still trying to claim revenge for her unjust execution centuries ago, and they are the target of her vicious attacks.

As the story progresses, the group of friends gradually becomes more and more paranoid, and their fears and anxieties rise to the surface. They all begin to fight and argue over the evidence they have collected, the validity of their equipment, and the credibility of their research. Each one of them experiences strange and hallucinatory situations as the witch's influence steadily grows stronger.

The climax of the film reaches a crescendo when the witch finally appears and begins to torment the group. At this point, the tension and horror of the movie reach their peak. The witch attacks them with all her might, and the friends must face their fears and overcome the malevolent spirit to survive.

Overall, Witchouse is a decent horror movie. There are some genuinely creepy moments and a few effective scares. The acting is not particularly standout, but it is adequate for the genre. The special effects are somewhat dated, but they still hold up for the most part. The score is quite good, and it helps to build the tension and atmosphere throughout the film. Overall, Witchouse is an enjoyable horror movie that should appeal to fans of the genre. If you're looking for a spooky thrill, give it a watch.

Witchouse is a 1998 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 12 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 3.9.
